Arthur Rackham was born in London in 1867.
He was one of the most popular and prolific illustrators of the
twentieth century.
His first published illustration was at the age of seventeen and
in 1903, after marrying Edythe Starkie, he began to work on book
illustrations including Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella.
Other well known books he illustrated include:

- The Brothers Grimm
