Hazel Brown was born in london, grew up in Devon, United Kingdom and has always been drawn to Nature.

Living by the sea as a child, she frequent walked to the beach looking for mermaids, she was sure they were hiding behind rocks or sunning themselves in the shallow rock-pools.

Letting her hand draw freely, a tapestry of creatures will emerge, elves, goblins, faeires, pixies and also characters she has never encountered before, weaving their way into the drawing. These characters peep from behind lichen covered boulders, or sit squarely on old toadstools, staring out at her from the page.
